4-day tour to Rotorua, Taupo and Waitomo. Be ready to experience Maori culture, breathtaking nature and geothermal activity!
We depart from Albert Park on Wellesley St, next to the Art Gallery in Auckland. Please be ready 15 minutes prior to your departure time.
Rotorua is a drive south of Auckland, passing through the Waikato Region where beautiful farmlands and rolling green hills can be seen. Rotorua is an adventure playground with many options of attractions and it’s the centre of the Maori Culture in NZ. Overnight in Rotorua.
After breakfast, we will take you on a sightseeing tour around Rotorua, enjoying the natural beauty of this wonderful place…Blue and Green Lakes, Redwood Forest, Government Gardens, Lake Rotorua, etc. Rotorua is the home of a big range of optional activities, such as The Gondola and Luge, OGO, Agroventures, Polynesian Spa, Jet Boat, Parasailing and others (extra costs apply for optional activities). In the evening, you can also join the most awarded Maori Cultural Performance in NZ, The Tamaki Maori Village (extra costs apply). Overnight in Rotorua.
After breakfast, we will proceed to the city of Taupo which is 01-hour away from Rotorua where you can check out the impressive Huka Falls and the volcanic Lake Taupo, NZ’s largest lake. You can also try one of these optional activities (extra costs apply): Visit the Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Park and Geyser; Bungy Jump; and Skydiving. Overnight in Rotorua.
After breakfast we proceed with the day’s activities: Go White Water Rafting (extra costs apply) or enjoy a free morning exploring Rotorua. After lunch, we depart Rotorua and head to Waitomo Caves, where you can do a tour to see all the glowworms (extra costs apply). Another optional activity would be to visit the Kiwi House and spot the endangered Kiwi Bird (extra costs apply). We then return to Auckland and drop you off by Britomart.
