DAY 1 || AUCKLAND-WELLINGTON
Travel south from Auckland via The Waikato, Taupo, and Central North Island. Passing through the biggest lake in NZ, amazing farmlands, and the Desert Road until we reach the most southern capital of the world Wellington. (Overnight in Wellington)
DAY 2 || FREE DAY IN WELLINGTON
Time to explore the capital city of New Zealand. Visit the Te Papa Museum (free entrance), government buildings, the waterfront, and ride the cable car to the botanic gardens for panoramic views of the city (includes cable car admission). Dinner included. (Overnight in Wellington)
DAY 3 || WELLINGTON-PICTON-KAIKOURA
Take the scenic ferry ride to Picton (included) early in the morning. After Picton, we drive down to the coastal town of Kaikoura, the Marine Sanctuary of NZ. There are optional activities available such as Swim with Dolphins, Seals, or Whale Watching (extra costs apply). Dinner included. (Overnight in Kaikoura).
DAY 4 || KAIKOURA-LAKE TEKAPO
Today we drive down to Lake Tekapo. Get ready for the stargazing at night-time. This is the home of the most spectacular skies in NZ. There is also a hot water spa (optional activity at extra costs). (Overnight in Lake Tekapo)
DAY 5 || TEKAPO – QUEENSTOWN
As we head south to Queenstown, you will be able to see the brilliant turquoise Lake Pukaki with Mt Cook on the background and the stunning views of the Lindis Pass. Dinner included. (Overnight in Queenstown)
DAY 6 || FREE DAY IN QUEENSTOWN
Today you can enjoy a free day in Queenstown or go on a day tour to the fiords of Milford Sound, one of the world’s top tourist attractions considered the eighth wonder of the world. Definitely one of the must-do day trips in NZ (optional activity at extra costs). Dinner included. (Overnight in Queenstown)
DAY 7 || FREE DAY IN QUEENSTOWN
Another free day in Queenstown - you might test your limits in the adrenaline capital of the world with these optional activities: Bungy jump, swing, skydiving, jet boating, paragliding, canyon swing, rafting, and the luge (optional activity at extra costs). Dinner included. (Overnight in Queenstown)
DAY 8 || QUEENSTOWN – FRANZ JOSEF
Today we will make our way to the breathtaking West Coast Region, stopping at the crystal-clear Blue Pools (one of the most beautiful rivers in NZ), and arriving at the famous glacier in Franz Josef for a walk to see the Glacier. (Overnight in Franz Josef)
DAY 9 || FRANZ JOSEF – PANCAKE ROCKS – WESTPORT
After breakfast, we can set for bushwalking or there is one optional activity available; the helicopter flight over the glacier and the snow landing (optional activity at extra cost), after that we make our way north to Westport stopping at the amazing Pancake Rocks and blowholes. (Overnight in Westport)
DAY 10 || WESTPORT - ABEL TASMAN NATIONAL PARK
Today you will have a free day in one of the best surf spots in New Zealand and enjoy some free time by the amazing Tasman Sea. We will also visit a seal colony at Cape Foulwind. In the afternoon we will make our way to the Abel Tasman National Park. (Overnight in Marahau)
DAY 11 || FREE DAY ABEL TASMAN NATIONAL PARK
Today we will spend all day enjoying the scenic beaches of the Abel Tasman National Park where you can go for kayaking (optional), swimming, and hiking. An optional activity will be the Abel Tasman Skydive (optional activity at extra cost). Dinner included. (Overnight in Marahau)
DAY 12 || ABEL TASMAN NATIONAL PARK - WELLINGTON
We drive north to Picton and travel through one of New Zealand’s most famous roads, Queens Charlotte Drive, with gorgeous sceneries all throughout of the Marlborough Sounds. We will arrive in Picton where we take the ferry back to Wellington (included). Dinner included. (Overnight in Wellington)
DAY 13 || WELLINGTON – NEW PLYMOUTH
Late in the morning, we will drive to New Plymouth, where we will visit one of the most beautiful mountains on the North Island (Mt Taranaki), enjoy this small picturesque New Zealand town which is a unique place. (Overnight in New Plymouth)
DAY 14 || NEW PLYMOUTH – WAITOMO CAVES - AUCKLAND
On the last day of this amazing tour, it’s time to say farewell to everyone, but on the way back to Auckland we will make one final stop in Waitomo Caves; optional activity is the Glow Worms Caves, where you can see thousands of glow-worms shining above you (extra cost apply).
